A Wonderful Gift
We share this message because Jesus has made a great difference in our lives.  We are not perfect but we are changed because of what Jesus has done in our hearts.  As a result of committing our lives to Jesus, our families are different for the better.  Our outlook on life is better and we now have an assurance from God that we have eternal life.
Do you have that assurance?  If you were to die at this very moment, are you prepared?  The Bible declares (Heb 9:27 NKJV)  “And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment,…”
This verse assures us of two very important realities.  First, every one of us will die; tomorrow, next week or many years from now every one of us will face death.  Second, we will all have to give an account to God for our lives.  The Bible declares the spiritual condition of every mans life when it states that  (Rom 3:23 NKJV) “… all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,…”
Not one of us, not a single person can reach Heaven on their own because of our personal choice to sin.  Therefore God in His mercy provided a way for imperfect men to be saved from their sins.  That way is His Son Jesus.  Jesus said of Himself (John 14:6 NKJV)  "…I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
Jesus went to the cross and died there in our place, so that our sins could be forgiven that we might be delivered from the punishment of Hell and that we could have a way to Heaven.  Jesus has satisfied the longing that we had inside and He will do the same for you.  How? (Rom 10:13 NKJV)  For "whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved."  You can pray right now and receive Jesus as your Savior.

Lord Jesus, I am a sinner and I need a Savior.  Right now I turn from my sin and accept You as my Lord and Savior.  I am trusting You and You alone for my salvation, believing that you died and rose again from the grave.  I thank You for saving me.
Every believer should belong to a local New Testament Church, we pray that God leads you to serve here at Sharon Baptist Church.

How to Become a Member of
Sharon Baptist Church

The primary consideration for membership in the Sharon Baptist Church family is what we call being saved. It involves calling out to God asking Him to forgive you of sins and inviting Jesus to come into your heart.  This involves a commitment of your life to serve and follow Jesus for the rest of your life.  Jesus gives to us a home in Heaven and eternal life.

1. Profession of Faith
Pray to receive Jesus as your Savior and commit your life to Him. Then publicly declare your faith in Jesus by sharing it with the church family during the invitation and follow the Lord in believer’s baptism.

2.  Promise of Letter
If you are a member of a sister Southern Baptist Church and feel like God would have you plant your life and ministry here at Sharon Baptist Church you may do so through promise of letter.  You may come and present yourself for membership during the invitation on a promise of letter from your former church.

3.  Statement of Faith
If you have been saved and do not remember where your last church membership is or you are coming from another denomination you may come by statement of faith.  If you are coming from another denomination we may ask that you be baptized into the fellowship of Sharon Baptist Church.
